The purpose of this position is to provide direct clinical services to clients in a TRS/Spirit Lodge program.

Essential Functions:

• Provides services to clients and their family members via individual, group, counseling, didactic and educational modalities.
• Maintains comprehensive clinical documentation that meets or exceeds Department of State Health Services, Joint Commission and TRS standards.
• Interfaces with referral sources providing information and reports according to sources request (with client’s written consent).
• Assists the Utilization Review Specialist by assuring that clinical records contain comprehensive information needed to communicate with managed care companies for authorization of treatment.
• Managers an individual caseload of 10 or less residential clients.
• Works closely with other Program Coordinators and staff to ensure synergy throughout the departments in the facility, region and company.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participates in program development, staff training and staff meetings.
• Assists with Community Relations as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent
• One year of direct clinical care experience
• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or other qualified credentialed counselor equivalent
